Also, I noticed there's a bit of a circular reference here:
17.3 says: "For more info, check out the sections in the book on the static and extern storage-class specifiers."
16.2.2.2 says: "More on that in the section about building with multiple source files."
PS is there a section in this book on the linker? I notice the act of linking is mentioned a few times here, but I couldn't find a chapter on it.
