Description
Expected behavior
On a new computer build, I have Veracrypt installed on the Windows system partition on an NVMe drive. When Veracrypt asks for the password, the prompt is garbled.
This is truly a minor problem in an otherwise outstanding tool. But still, it should be fixed.
Observed behavior
At the password prompt, the "P" in "Password" is on the right side of the screen and "assword" is on the left side on the next line. The screenshot below shows the problem more clearly.
I have Veracrypt installed on several laptops and desktops, and on all other systems the password prompt is in the upper left corner, but on this system, it is at the bottom of the BIOS screen.
Other than the ugly looking display, the typing and validation of the password works fine and Veracrypt works perfectly on this system drive.
Steps to reproduce
- Just boot the system and look at BIOS screen!
It probably has something to do with the BIOS, motherboard, and graphics card which I list below
