Could you please explain how the network port normally works? Both the official firmware and the IMM firmware SFP network ports are not functioning properly.

On the vEdge 1000 built from this repo the first 4 ports are configured as fiber ports, and the last 4 as RJ45-transceiver ports.

May I ask how to set it up to work properly? Should it be added during compilation or switched using a command in the system?

Not sure what you mean with working properly, they are working - just fixed function.

The kernel version is too old, and some KMODs cannot be installed or used.

I want to use the two firmware versions mentioned above, but only the RJ45 port has network connectivity. The other SFP ports do not work properly even after inserting modules. I can see that the device has booted up, but it cannot obtain an IP address—neither via DHCP nor PPPoE. Manually setting an IP also does not provide network access. Currently, only the OpenWrt firmware from this author works normally. I don’t know where the issue lies.
