Currently, some non-sensitive data is not encrypted at rest (i.e. ttl, failure count, read count, etc.). This is in part due to the fact that it simplifies the implementation of atomic read/delete operations which can be entirely encoded inside of the redis script due to not needing to decrypt. We should ideally just encrypt the entire contents of the redis entry. This however will require a more generalized distributed locking mechanism to retain the atomic read/delete operation after the being read into memory and decrypted.
