Get echo example working

Besides the API changes from that shown on the main page, I see the code now expects an executable file. Any way to get this to work again with commands like echo, etc.?

You should be able to use echo by setting command to a shell executable.
Unfortunately, you will have to write a specific code for each OS.

Feel free to open a pull request if you come up with some utility code to do that.

I don't have any plans to write the utility code you mention, but I did want to mention that I've added subprocess access to AsYouWish. To the demos folder, I have added a basic demo of subprocess itself and a functional command line tool using subprocess (both for Windows only at the moment). With AsYouWish installed, and mostly thanks to your work/Enigmail work, a person can use a general purpose command line tool (or build their own) or an application harnessed by a command line API--implemented solely using HTML.

I forgot to mention the subprocess code is currently only available in AsYouWish's 0.5.2-FF20a1 branch (for which I need to fix a bug with panels and the latest SDK but is otherwise working).

(FYI, the subprocess code mentioned above has long been added to the trunk of AsYouWish.)

I also wanted to ask whether you'd be open to a pull request which allowed the objects passed to options.done(), options.stdin(), etc. to first be optionally wrapped via the result of a callback? This should only add a few lines of code, but it'd be very convenient for me if I didn't have to cherry-pick through your commits every time you updated the code. (I need to wrap the objects by executing SpecialPowers.js code on them to grant the necessary privileges on these objects). Thanks!

I'd suggest you to start looking at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=900288
which will be available in Firefox 30.
This repo is meant to be deprecated in favor of the subprocess module and child_process SDK api shipped right into Firefox.
So I'd encourage you to switch to using one of those and contribute to mozilla-central.

Otherwise, I'm ok to receive contribution here if that can help, but I won't uplift these moditication to mozilla-central.
