State of this project

Hello there!

I just found out that gumdrop would be a nice fit for me, but the current state of the project makes me wonder whether it's still maintained or not.
As of now:

• The last commit is 10 months old. This is not too old, but not fresh either.
• There are 7 open PRs, most of them with not even a comment stating if the project was interested or not in taking them. The most recent of them is more than a year and a half.
• The situation is more or less similar for the 17 open issues, with multiple of them simply asking questions, and went unanswered for many years.

Is the project abandoned? Or maybe it doesn't accept external contribution?
Would you mind adding a note to the README detailing the situation?
That would help users better understand what to expect from this nice little piece of code :-)
