Status bar hiding not working on 3-button navigation mode

Turning off "Show Status Bar" hides status bar briefly but accessing notification/opening any app unhides the stauts bar and it dosent get hidden automatically.

Apps should be manually disable the status bar, that is not controlled by the launcher, and the notifications effect is intended

The problem is not that opening an app unhides the status bar, coming back to launcher should automatically hide the status bar again... No?

Oh, that is due to the 3-button navigation. It works fine with gestures. Since Android had decided to fully transition to gesture navigations, they might have missed it for the 3-button nav.

I tried with gestures... Same problem. Turned on auto hide 3 button navigation bar... Same problem. So i tried out other launcher to see if its a problem with my device. But no... They worked just fine. Tested launchers like multi launcher, slauncher.

Huh, can't seem to reproduce it for my device, will check once again later, or if anyone else can reproduce it, it would be helpful (can guess it based on patterns)

Oh, could you also check if it works in CLauncher for you, (slauncher seems to be pretty recent, and looks similar to Clauncher). No need to have a vid or anything, just for confirmation

Yeah, seems to be an issue for older android versions, forcing it to always stay off (even when you receive a notif) fixes it with the mentioned drawback in the commit
