One nice feature would be a datefilter.
When active, it should only show hits on files created within the specified datetime period.
I use it mostly for search in log-files.
This screendump show how it looks in FileSeek (another good application to search file contents).

Starting from version 4.15, it’s possible to display the date column. I hope this helps for a start.”
