Implement tooling that enables Service Providers (SPs) to manage payment rail settlements for their hosted data sets that utilize CDN services, covering both active and terminated data sets.

hey, i'd like to work on this!
i see the contract already has core functions settleCDNPaymentRails, settleCacheMissPaymentRails , terminateCDNPaymentRails so i am thinking of to add foundry script enabling SPs to manage settlements

the scripts may include tools to

• QueryBalances: query outstanding cdn/cache-miss amounts for multiple dataSetIds. Shows payer, payee, rail IDs, & totals.
• SettleRails: batch settle cdn and/or cache-miss rails. logs pre/post balances for transparency.
• TerminateRails: terminate cdn service for a dataSetId (controller-only). Warns if unsettled balance exists.

what do you think of this approach @pyropy ?

@Chaitu-Tatipamula let's first make sure we finish the work on #3 before we pick-up any new issues.

Regarding your implementation plan I like the bash/cast approach but we'd also have to make sure to communicate that with the storage providers and provide them with a tutorial on how to install cast and operate the script.

Apart from that I think that there's no need to have a tool for rail termination and querying balances at this point, we should just stick with payment rail settlement.

The script should:

• Get a list of data sets with enabled CDN from FWSS contract for a storage provider (maybe by storage provider id)
• Query FilBeamOperator contract to determine if there is unsettled cache-miss usage (cacheMissAmount > 0) for data set
• Call settleCacheMissPaymentRails with the list of data set ids previously retrieved that have unsettled cache-miss usage
  • Batch for settlement should be set at 100 data sets per settlement max. If there's more than 100 data sets to settle for a storage provider
• Script should print details of the settlement transactions

Sure @Chaitu-Tatipamula, I'm going to assign this to you. Please, write an implementation plan here before you start working on this issue. That will make sure that we're both aligned on what needs to be done before you start putting in the engineering effort into completing this issue.

Dataset discovery using event logs we can scan DataSetCreated events from FWSS filtered by provider id
and then filtering for the unsettled usage - for each dataset we can query dataSetUsage(uint256) and check if cacheMissAmount > 0
Then comes the batch settlement where i can call settleCacheMissPaymentRails(uint256[]) with upto 100 ids per transaction

so this is much easier to SPs to settle their outstanding cache-miss payments through this bash script that leverages cast to handle this entire workflow from discovery to settlement and

For SPs: i can create a guide that can cover the foundry installation, environment variable config(RPC_URL, PROVIDER_ID, PRIVATE_KEY, etc.) and some usage examples which can be helpful for them
