INVALID MESSAGE WITH QUOTES

Not really sure what this things problem is.

I installed Wargus, and have an unpacked Warcraft II file set available for it.

Upon launching Wargus it asks me to point it to REZDAT.WAR which I found easily, located inside DATA\ folder:

Yet upon selecting this file, I get a bizarre "INVALID MESSAGE WITH QUOTES" error and nothing else.

What the hell is that supposed to mean?

"INVALID MESSAGE WITH QUOTES" means that our error message is "ill-formed" (i.e containing either ' or ") ...
The code has been fixed by 1ac332fe (Jan 5th, 2023)

Correct message tells you the command line executed, than you can re-run in console to have more information about the issue.
