Moving Nodes and curves

I am trying to move nodes and creating curves but I can only move up and sideways. Am I doing something wrong?

When I zoom in very close then I cant even move up or sideways anymore

I am using the latest version - but problem was the same in previous version

I've never seen anything like this with all the testing i did before releasing the latest version, i'll have another look and see if i can re-create it, can you attach your EditorConfig.xml file so i can test my development version with your config, hopefully this will help.
