but the last release time is Aug 25, 2021 which can't work with asio 1.34 cause asio removed io_service in 1.34

Yes, a new release is in the works, which resolves the mentioned issue. We will push to have it out by the week ending 19th October 2025.

Hi @ben-crowhurst , are there any updates on the release plan? I'm guessing not before christmas :D. We are planning on integrating restbed next year but use the latest asio 1.36.0 as well.

We're looking to get 5.0.0 rubber-stamped ASAP and waiting on some comments from two open PRs. If we don't hear back in the next week, we will proceed with the current build.
