M1 Air, System crashed with blank screen seconds after logging-in

I left my M1 Air suspended overnight and it discharged the battery, so I plugged it into the charger and logging into at about 87% of battery charge while it was still charging.

To my surprise, after about 10 seconds the screen went completely dark, with no reaction whatsoever. Had to long press the power button to start it again.

Mind you that my battery is at 72% life now, but not sure how this should be related, considering the laptop was connected and still charging.

journalctl, not unexpectedly, recorded nothing. I'll keep monitoring but would appreciate any pointers as to whether it is possible to debug the cause of this at all, should it happen again.

Happened again just now: laptop was disconnected overnight and suspended, I opened it, started using, including the network, 15s later screen went dark, had to reboot. Battery charge was 85%, so it's unlikely that it's at fault here.
