Unable to install on Degoogled Chromium?

Whenever I try to install it through the extenstions page it says that it cannot find the manifest file.

Error
Manifest file is missing or unreadable
Could not load manifest."

Can this be fixed somehow so I can use the site/extention?

And the usual method for installing extentions is to enable developer mode and drag them in or add them via the buttons.

If I recall correctly, installing extensions in ungoogled chromium took additional steps, but it worked once I followed them. (I believe I used the https://github.com/NeverDecaf/chromium-web-store method.)

It sounds like you've downloaded the entire repository and are trying to install by selecting the upper folder? If that's the case, all you need to do is select the src/ folder instead; that's where the actual extension files are.

I would still recommend checking out what @marcustyphoon recommends, though, as every extension repository will have its own file structure. Some may not even have directly executable source code (e.g. TypeScript), so just running the builds made available via the Web Store should be a lot less hassle long-term.

Yes, it also means you get automatic updates if you use chromium-web-store! Otherwise, you must check if there are new versions of your extensions every so often and install them yourself.

Also I did the folder thing and it worked! the src folder.
