It also looks like gm is the source of the Magick dependency. MuseScore is the culprit; you have to use MuseScore interactively to control what the MIDI files look like. Switching to pyaramidi looks like the best option.

The plan is to use mydough to generate MIDI files through mido rather than use pyramidi. See issue #83
